About The Role

Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Account Handler for our Community Broking team in Exeter.

Provide exceptional service and advice to clients to maximize satisfaction, achieve new business and product income targets, maintain high retention levels, and handle adjustments, queries, and claims professionally and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve individual objectives and KPIs.
  2. Provide holistic insurance reviews, identify, and promote related insurance products for new and existing clients.
  3. Meet new business income, retention targets, and service KPIs.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive diary and activity log.
  5. Manage client relationships and conduct meetings as required.
  6. Attend exhibitions and share market information with your manager.
  7. Collaborate with teams to maximize client opportunities.
  8. Support team development, ensure procedures are followed, and promote company values.
  9. Assist in process improvements, maintain technical knowledge, and handle complex referrals.
  10. Underwrite policies per guidelines, support complaints and claims processes, and ensure client money collection.
  11. Research new products and refer issues outside your expertise.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Inspire through coaching and training.
  • Build rapport, work in regulated environments, and be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Be proactive, IT literate, and possibly hold or be willing to work towards Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
