Job summary

Cavendish, with offices across Wales and Cardiff base, seeks an Account Executive in Planning Communications. This permanent, full-time role offers a pathway to senior client work and industry-leading benefits.

You will collaborate with Account Managers and Directors to deliver high-quality planning communications and stakeholder engagement. The role emphasizes Welsh language proficiency, strong writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Welsh language skills required.
  • Ability to produce high-quality written consultation materials.
  • Experience with planning/public consultations is a plus.
  • Interest in current affairs and local government helps.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers, Account Directors and Directors in delivering exceptional client services.
  • Develop commercial expertise and wider project management skills for career progression.
  • Deliver planning and management of public consultations across FMGC, property, energy and infrastructure.
  • Attend client meetings, deputise for Account Managers when required.
  • Write and produce consultation materials with accuracy and clarity.
  • Undertake political and stakeholder research to shape campaigns.
  • Carry out analysis and collate evidence for consultation events and communication strategies.
  • Understand clients to represent them to audiences.
  • Write press releases and monitor media activity.
  • Use social media to promote consultation and engagement activities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and attend networking events.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts of the team and wider business.

What you’ll need to do:

Be a key member of the team, supporting Account Managers, Account Directors and Directors in the delivery and development of exceptional services to ensure client and Group objectives are met.   • Media monitoring.
  • Use social media to promote consultation and engagement activities.
  • Identify and support new business opportunities and regularly attend networking events.
  • Contribute to the marketing efforts of the team and wider business.
