Job summary

Cavendish Consulting in Wales (Cardiff) is seeking an Account Executive to join our Planning Communications team. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working and the chance to develop strategic client campaigns across public affairs and planning sectors.

You will support senior teams, manage deadlines, create clear consultation materials, and engage with stakeholders to shape campaigns while benefiting from a strong training and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers and Directors in delivering exceptional client services.
  • Attend client meetings and deputise for Account Managers when needed.
  • Research political and stakeholder issues to inform campaigns.
  • Write press materials and monitor media coverage.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support marketing efforts.
  • Contribute to the team’s broader goals and planning activities.

What you’ll need to do

Be a key member of the team, supporting Account Managers, Account Directors and Directors in the delivery and development of exceptional services to ensure client and Group objectives are met. You will be developing commercial expertise and wider project management skills which will support career progression.

  • Support the wider team on the delivery of planning and management of public consultations across FMGC, property, energy and infrastructure.
  • Attend client meetings, deputising for Account Managers when required.
  • Manage the writing and production of consultation materials.
  • Undertake political and stakeholder research and provide insight that can help shape campaigns.
  • Carry out analysis and collate evidence for consultation events and communication strategies.
  • Understand clients well enough to represent them to their audiences.
  • Write press releases, presenting good quality, accurate articles with attention to detail.
  • Media monitoring.
  • Use social media to promote consultation and engagement activities.
  • Identify and support new business opportunities and regularly attend networking events.
  • Contribute to the marketing efforts of the team and wider business.
