Job description

Are you interested in working on some of the music business’ most pressing issues, including AI and fixing ticket touting across Europe?

Are you looking to further your career in PR and work with some of the industry’s most influential music companies and concert promoters?

Name PR, one of the UK’s leading music business communication consultancies, is looking for an Account Executive / Campaign Coordinator for a unique role split between our B2B PR consultancy and our sister organisation, FEAT – a non-profit campaigning for secure, promoter-authorised ticket resale across Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent writing skills and a keen interest in the business and policy side of music, now ready to join the best. You will engage with some of the biggest topics in the industry today, from challenges for independent artists, AI, and the streaming economy, to the fight against ticket touting.

On the PR side, you will work with organisations across all areas of the industry. Current and recent clients include the Association of Independent Music (AIM), Believe UK, Exceleration Music, IDOL, Mahogany, Proper Music Distribution, and Sony Music UK.

For FEAT, you will help run day-to-day operations and progress our work on regulation, enforcement, and best practice. Since launching in 2019, FEAT has helped secure key provisions in EU law, spoken at the European Parliament, and developed reporting systems for illegal ticket listings. The next 12 months are a pivotal time for the organisation as we work to ensure ticket resale is tackled properly within the EU’s upcoming Digital Fairness Act.

Based in London, this full-time role sits within a small, dynamic team where you will receive extensive training, the opportunity to progress quickly to a high level, and, should you wish, to specialise in PR or policy work. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required around visits to the European Parliament in Brussels, as well as conferences and events across the EU.

PR Responsibilities:
  • Support with day-to-day PR activities across multiple clients, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time
  • Write press releases, opinion pieces, social copy and pitches, including for FEAT
  • Participate in client communications, including contributing to meetings and calls
  • Keep on top of all client admin and reporting
  • Monitor industry news and trends to identify relevant media opportunities for clients
  • Build and maintain media lists, and begin nurturing relationships with key journalists in the music trade and wider press
  • Report to account managers, taking ownership of your workload while knowing when to elevate or seek support
  • Support with company admin and office tasks, as well as helping out on occasional consumer PR projects
FEAT Responsibilities:
  • Help draft FEAT position papers, open letters, and keep our members informed through regular updates and emails.
  • Monitor EU digital regulation and relevant news to identify media and campaigning opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with EU policymakers, stakeholders, and partner associations.
  • Manage FEAT’s online presence, including the website and social media channels.
  • Attend national and international events across the EU, and help run FEAT's AGM
Essential Requirements
  • A strong interest in B2B communications and policy work, with ideally at least a year’s experience in a previous PR, journalism, or public affairs role
  • A genuine interest in the inner workings of the music business, live events, or ticketing
  • Excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • Brilliant organisational skills – you’ll need to manage a full-on, split workload to a high standard
  • Experience building relationships with journalists or stakeholdersAbility to work independently, using your initiative to drive projects forward
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, professional attitude
Desirable
  • Knowledge of how the live music business works and/or EU political systems
  • Professional experience in social media including organic and paid campaigns
  • IT skills including familiarity with Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp
Benefits:
  • Personal wellness budget worth over £700 PA, covering everything from Art Lessons to Acupuncture
  • Hybrid working with two days in our London office (on a converted boat on the Regent’s Canal with aircon and BBQ space) and three days from home
  • Opportunities to attend industry events and conferences
  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a day’s birthday leave and office closure between Christmas and New Year
