Job summary

Workchain Recruitment is seeking an Account Executive - Commercial Insurance in Derby with a hybrid working arrangement. You will inherit an established portfolio of commercial clients and develop new opportunities in the local market.

Join a supportive team, drive relationship management and business development, and work with broking and handling teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance, from broker or insurer.
• Exposure to sectors such as construction, property owners, landlords, manufacturing, or motor trade.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Progress towards CII qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an inherited portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Build strong and long-lasting client relationships through regular reviews, meetings, and proactive advice.
• Work closely with internal broking and account handling teams to deliver exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market engagement.
• Negotiate and place commercial insurance programmes with insurer partners to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Maintain a high level of client retention while supporting portfolio growth objectives.

The Opportunity
