Job description

Account Director (Learning & Capabilities)

London, United Kingdom

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Account Director to lead a portfolio of clients within the learning and capabilities sector.

You will be part of our Client Engagement Team managing large accounts at Inizio Engage XD level, with responsibilities including:

  1. Driving growth by expanding services and relationships within existing clients and developing new client contacts.
  2. Building strategic understanding of client businesses to align XD's capabilities effectively.
  3. Partnering with subject matter experts to develop solutions to client challenges.
  4. Managing MSAs, ensuring adherence to SLAs, processes, and ways of working.
  5. Onboarding new client contacts at an XD level.

You will oversee a diverse portfolio, potentially focusing on specific areas of large accounts or managing several smaller accounts (<$1M), with a focus on Learning clients, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry, but across the full XD service scope.

You will report to the Head of Client Engagement.

What you'll do...
  • Represent the agency within client and wider Inizio organizations.
  • Ensure your team is well-prepared for success, mentoring where necessary to deliver clear briefs and value-driven perspectives.

Client & Internal Relationships

  • Establish trust as a partner with clients and procurement, leading Business Review Meetings and leveraging subject matter expertise.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across IEXD, understanding our specialisms and consulting the right experts.
  • Ensure account ambassadors are aligned with client context and internal processes.
  • Promote a positive delivery culture and navigate internal challenges effectively.
  • Manage direct reports as per team structure.

Commercial Accountability

  • Understand account forecasts and collaborate on growth strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities, considering strategic and commercial factors.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data following agency procedures.

Agency Growth

  • Plan for growth with existing clients and explore new business opportunities.
  • Leverage the wider Inizio network to support account growth.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and lead pitches when appropriate.
What you'll need to have...
  • Experience in the healthcare industry; agency experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to partner with clients to identify learning needs.
  • Experience working with SMEs on L&D solutions.
  • Knowledge of capability development and scientific training.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
