Account Director that sits within the Account Management Team at Havas Play, delivering integrated communications activations for sport, culture and entertainment clients.

Purpose of Role

The Account Director is the most senior day-to-day account support and it is their responsibility to delegate the work that comes in and oversee all work going out.

Manage workload of all team members, flag capacity issues early, and provide industry expertise for campaign planning, execution, and growth opportunities.

Ensure timely response to briefs and delivery of campaigns and projects, supporting from BD/Managing Partner as needed.

Possess strong interpersonal skills to understand client, rights holder, and supplier demands, connecting teams to deliver briefs and campaigns, while managing financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Confidently oversee multiple accounts and workloads, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high standards under pressure.

Drive projects proactively, coordinate with agency teams, and manage account capacity and scope.

Exhibit strong writing and presentation skills, adapting communication for clients and team, with high attention to detail.

Be solutions-driven, accountable, and proactive in anticipating and resolving issues.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, challenge agency views constructively, and support team development.

Apply strategic thinking to respond to briefs, oversee campaign execution, and ensure alignment with client objectives.

Deepen industry knowledge, identify organic growth opportunities, and nurture industry contacts for new business.

Manage people, time, and financial aspects of accounts, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
