Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking an accommodation support worker to assist residents in Brownley Road with budgeting, benefits and accessing housing services. You will run support sessions, help residents with forms, budgeting and ID, and create personalised support plans.

You will also help maintain the building and use IT systems to record case notes and outcomes, including Liquid Logic and Hpa2, within a fast-paced, empathetic team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting homeless individuals or vulnerable groups.
• Strong communication and empathy in client interactions.
• Experience using IT systems for case notes and records.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with universal credit, bank accounts, referrals and budgeting.
• Help residents obtain formal ID and create personalised support plans.
• Assist with housing, move-ons to accommodation and maintaining the building.
• Maintain records using Liquid Logic and Hpa2; input data into spreadsheets.
