Job summary

Kwik Fit is seeking an Access to Work Support Worker to provide reliable, safe transport and disability‑related workplace support to a colleague funded by Access to Work. This role helps the employee travel to work and participate in activities, removing barriers to performance and inclusion.

The position is field based with frequent travel across the UK, including occasional national travel and overnight stays as required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience and a supportive approach.
• Excellent organisational skills for routes and schedules.
• Reliable, punctual and consistent.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving.
• Full UK Cat B Driving Licence.
• Enhanced DBS Check or willingness to undergo one.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, punctual transport to and from work and related activities.
• Assist with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain professional, respectful relationships while protecting dignity and confidentiality.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and ethical standards.
• Record journeys, hours worked and support provided as required.
• Report safety or wellbeing concerns to management.
• Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, insured and compliant.
• Undertake other duties as requested by management.
