Job summary

Channel 4 is seeking an Access Services Manager to lead the operational delivery and development of subtitling, audio description and signing across all platforms. The role focuses on expanding access provision, enhancing live coverage, and aligning workflows with regulatory obligations.

You will work across content teams and external partners, ensuring high-quality, compliant access services and effective stakeholder engagement to improve audience experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in broadcast Access Services and operations.
• Knowledge of Ofcom Access Services requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Experience managing suppliers, contracts, SLAs and budgets.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end content workflows and media systems.
• Familiarity with subtitling, audio description and signing processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for Access Services queries and best practices.
• Manage relationships with Access Services suppliers and technology partners.
• Oversee subtitling, audio description and signing delivery across content.
• Ensure compliance with Ofcom requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Lead end-to-end delivery across linear, streaming and partner services.
• Collaborate with internal teams on operational and accessibility initiatives.
• Represent Channel 4 externally on accessibility matters.
