CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking an Access Control / Intercom Engineer in London to service seven high-end residential buildings around Canary Wharf. The role involves planned maintenance, fault-finding, installation and commissioning of access control and intercom equipment.

You will work with Paxton, Videx and other major systems, ensuring safety standards and customer service are upheld. Competitive salary plus travel allowance and pension are offered.

Overview

Access Control / Intercom Engineer - FM Service Provider - London (Foot Mobile) - £50,000 to £52,000 - CIS or PAYE options available.

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider in London. CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for an Access Control / Intercom Engineer to work across seven high-end residential buildings, primarily around the Canary Wharf area.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
• Diagnosing faults and completing remedial works across a portfolio of high-end residential buildings.
• Servicing and maintaining a wide range of systems including:
  • Audio and video intercom systems
  • Access control systems
  • Door entry systems
  • Magnetic locks and electric strikes
  • Proximity, fob and card access systems
  • Automatic door release systems
  • Gate entry systems (where applicable)
• Installing and replacing access control and intercom equipment as required.
• Programming and commissioning new or replacement devices.
• Attending reactive call-outs and resolving system faults efficiently.
• Liaising with residents, site teams and property managers to ensure excellent customer service.
• Completing service reports and providing recommendations following maintenance visits.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with current industry standards and health & safety regulations.

Package & Working Hours

• £50,000 - £52,000 (depending on experience)
• £180 - £220 per day CIS (depending on experience)
• Overtime available
• Working hours: 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday; 7.30am - 4.00pm Friday
• £160 per month travel allowance

Requirements

• Proven experience working on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
• Experience carrying out PPMs, servicing, repairs and fault-finding.
• Knowledge of systems from manufacturers such as Paxton, Videx, BPT, Comelit, Hikvision, TDSi, Gallagher, Honeywell, Salto or similar.
• Strong understanding of electronic security systems and associated hardware.
• ECS Card or CSCS Card (preferred).
• IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to provide references and relevant industry qualifications.
