Job summary

Manchester United is seeking a Kit Assistant to support kit and equipment operations for the academy and broader club. You will prepare, pack, and distribute training and matchday kit, ensuring correct labelling and integrity of gear for players and staff.

The role requires lifting, driving a van when needed, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. DBS check may be required as part of safeguarding obligations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience operating within a high-performance sports environment, ideally football kit management.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.
• Dependable, reliable and able to manage responsibilities effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.
• Collaborative team player with positive working relationships across club levels.
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Able to lift, carry and transport kit and equipment; driving licence required.
• Possess or able to obtain Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, packing and distribution of kits for training, home and away matchdays, and events.
• Ensure kits, boots and equipment are clean, in good condition and ready for use.
• Support dressing room setup pre/post-match with correct shirt numbering and layout.
• Monitor stock levels of kit and equipment and reorder as needed.
• Wash, dry and store kit and training wear following hygiene standards.
• Assist with logistics of kit transportation to away matches.
• Label and organize player-issued kit.
• Report any damage or loss of equipment to the Kit Manager.
• Uphold professional club image and maintain confidentiality.
• Role may focus on Academy with flexibility to support First Team and Women’s team.
• Print on match kit and training wear; assist with pre-season arrivals and preparation.
