Job summary

Manchester City Academy in Manchester is seeking a Kit Assistant to support the Kit Manager with training and matchday kit supply and preparation. Your role ensures players and staff have the right kit at the right time for training, fixtures and travel.

You will organise kit, manage daily requirements and support kit printing while maintaining high housekeeping standards. The position requires flexibility for early/late shifts, weekends, and possible travel.

Qualifications

  • It proficiency to use computerised stock-taking or record-keeping systems.
  • Clean driving license and confidence driving as part of the role.
  • Ability to organise kit and equipment to ensure timely availability.
  • Careful attention to detail and high housekeeping standards.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts, late finishes, weekends and matchdays.
  • Self-management with a service-focused attitude when supporting colleagues and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Academy Kit Manager with the supply and preparation of training and matchday kit.
  • Organise match and training kit, arrange kit printing and manage daily kit requirements.
  • Deliver used kit to the laundry and follow kit-supplier requirements for different uses and travel.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and build professional relationships across the Academy.
  • Work on a rota with early/late starts, weekends and matchdays; travel opportunities may arise.

Help keep Manchester City Academy football moving by making sure players and staff have the right kit, in the right place, at the right time. Based at Manchester City Football Academy in Manchester, this full-time permanent role offers the chance to support a busy, varied operation across training, matchdays and team travel.

The Academy Kit team plays an important part in creating the conditions for young players and staff to prepare, train and compete. Supporting kit requirements across 26 age groups, the team combines careful organisation with practical, hands-on service to help each programme run smoothly.

The Role

As Kit Assistant, you will support the Academy Kit Manager with the supply and preparation of training and matchday kit. Your work will have a direct impact on players and staff, helping them prepare for training, fixtures and travel with the right kit available at the right time.

You will organize match and training kit, arrange kit printing, manage daily training kit requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards at the Academy. You will also deliver used kit to the laundry throughout the day, follow kit-supplier requirements for different training uses and travel when and where the role requires.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will build effective relationships with colleagues across the Academy and provide a professional, service-focused response to changing needs. The role operates on a rota, with flexible hours to meet business requirements, including early and late starts, weekend work and matchdays; there may also be opportunities for international travel with Academy teams.

What You’ll Bring
