Job summary

Oxford International Education Group is seeking a Programme Lead in Belfast to provide academic leadership for designated programmes, ensuring quality, coherence and student success.

You will work with the Centre Director and academic team to oversee curriculum, assessment and data-driven improvements, while supporting teaching staff and ensuring alignment with partner university standards. Teaching duties remain a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Business.
• Postgraduate qualification in Business or a related discipline (Desirable).
• Recognised teaching qualification relevant to higher education (PGCAP/PGCert HE; PGCE or equivalent considered with HE experience).
• Advance HE Fellowship (or willingness to work towards this) (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day academic leadership for designated programmes and act as the principal academic point of coordination for the programme team.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment that enhances the quality of the student learning experience and teaching–learning environment.
• Inspire teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning and contribute to programme development and enhancement.
• Plan staffing requirements in advance and ensure programmes are resourced according to policy.
• Assist the Centre Director in monitoring staff performance and conducting annual observations and reviews.
• Contribute to strategic development and longer-term planning of the programme portfolio.
• Support induction of new teaching staff and provide ongoing academic guidance.
• Collaborate in professional development planning for Centre teaching staff.
• Plan and manage delivery of modules to support progression and satisfaction.
• Ensure curricula align with partner University standards and are delivered coherently.
• Oversee assessment design, marking and moderation and ensure fairness.
• Lead module evaluations and inform curriculum enhancement.
• Maintain accurate academic records and ensure continuity of delivery.
• Provide cover arrangements when tutors are absent.
