Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Newham, East London, is seeking a Science Academic Mentor to provide 1:1 and small-group support across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for GCSE students. You will help learners improve science knowledge, confidence and exam skills within a term-time, full-time role.

The position starts the week commencing 28th September 2026 and runs until August 2027, with a negotiable salary. You will collaborate with Science teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress and tailor

Qualifications

• A strong academic background in Science.
• Good knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Experience supporting or tutoring secondary school students.
• Knowledge of GCSE Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Passion for helping young people make progress.
