Job summary

Howett Thorpe is seeking an ACA Graduate Trainee in Camberley to gain experience across audit and accounts within a supportive independent firm.

You will work with experienced accountants, begin ACA studies with full study support, and develop technical skills across a diverse client base while progressing in a structured training programme.

Qualifications

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any relevant subject.
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy.
• Strong academic record and willingness to study towards ACA.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Complete audit testing and prepare working papers.
• Assist with bookkeeping and accounting tasks where required.
• Work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.
• Communicate with clients and assist with day‑to‑day queries.
• Develop understanding of accounting standards and audit procedures.
• Work closely with senior members of the team throughout assignments.
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience develops.

ACA Graduate Trainee - About The Role
