Job summary

USS Investment Management Limited is seeking an ABS Portfolio Manager to construct and implement the firm’s strategy for direct investment in public and private ABS, CLO and SRT securities. You will collaborate with the Private Credit team to identify opportunities and align with the Scheme’s liquidity and risk objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in portfolio management and investment outcomes.
• Experience trading ABS or structured-credit securities.
• Deep knowledge of CLO structures and collateral.
• Understanding of UK securitisation rules.
• Proficiency with investment tools (Excel, Intex, Bloomberg).
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolio construction and implementation to maximise risk-adjusted value.
• Achieve and demonstrate best execution.
• Undertake fundamental credit analysis and support ABS views.
• Drive improvement of investment processes and governance compliance.
• Resolve operational queries relating to ABS mandates.
• Source investment opportunities and leverage external relationships.
• Develop relationships with sell-side desks, syndicates and researchers.
• Contribute to ABS investment strategy and collaborate with Private Credit team.
