Job summary

Ace Centre in Oldham is looking for an AAC Assistant Practitioner to join a friendly multi-disciplinary team. This 12-month fixed-term contract provides maternity cover across hospitals, schools, and community settings.

You will work with AAC Consultants, support children and adults with communication needs using AAC tools, and develop resources and voice output devices. Travel across the North West is required.

Qualifications

• NQF or QCF level 4 or above, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Education, health or social care related qualification.
• Experience working with AAC or assistive technology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare communication equipment and loan materials for clients.
• Provide training for clients and carers on programming and maintenance.
• Assist with installation of client equipment and follow-up support.
• Deliver onsite/remote implementation support after assessment.
• Maintain client and equipment records in relevant databases.
