Public Health Wales is recruiting a trainee AAA screener to support the Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme. The role includes performing abdominal ultrasound to determine aneurysm presence and communicating results with clear guidance to men attending community screening and surveillance clinics.

The trainee will undertake the Level 4 Diploma in AAA Screening and Level 3 Diploma in Fundamentals in Health Screening.

Formación

• Level 4 Diploma in AAA screening to be completed during training.
• Level 3 Diploma in Fundamentals in Health Screening required upon or during training.
• Welsh language ability is desirable for this post.

Responsabilidades

• Perform abdominal ultrasound to determine if an aneurysm is present.
• Provide information and advice to men attending screening and surveillance clinics.
• Travel within the North Wales region; occasional travel to other regions of Wales.
