Job summary

Public Health Wales is recruiting for the Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme. The role focuses on training, supervising and quality assurance for abdominal ultrasound screeners, with clinical skills training for new staff and coverage across the north west of Wales.

You will oversee adherence to programme policies and provide education to ensure high-quality screening and patient safety within Wales.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU) is required.
• Full SVT Accreditation – AVS (Accredited Vascular Scientist) required.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists required.
• UK professional registration with the appropriate body is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, supervision and QA for AAA screeners across Wales.
• Deliver clinical skills training to new staff tackling abdominal aortic screening.
• Cover training in the north west of Wales and support programme policies.
