Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. is seeking a qualified FE Maths Teacher to join a large 6th Form college in North London (Haringey) to teach GCSE Maths and resits for 16–18 year olds.

You will handle planning, assessment and curriculum development within a supportive team, aiming for high attainment. The role requires a QTS/QTLS/PGCE or equivalent, strong maths knowledge, proactive teaching, excellent communication and ICT capability, with a view to contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom

Qualifications

• QTS / QTLS / PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge across maths
• Proactive and engaging teaching approach
• Strong classroom management for an inclusive learning atmosphere
• Excellent communication with students
• Ability to use ICT effectively

Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE Maths and resits for 16–18 year olds
• Take responsibility for preparation, planning and delivery
• Prepare students for exams, coursework and homework
• Monitor student progress and contribute to curriculum development
• Collaborate with a supportive core subjects team and SLT
