Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable A-Level Computer Science Teacher to provide temporary coverage for sickness absence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for the remainder of the school term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging students, and ensuring continuity in learning.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering effective and engaging A-Level Computer Science lessons in accordance with the curriculum requirements and school policies.
• Developing comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support student learning and achievement.
• Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate and explore computer science concepts.
• Assessing student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and providing timely feedback to support their development.
• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour, and communicate this information to relevant stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment.
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address any concerns or queries related to the computer science curriculum.

Requirements:

• Computer Science Degree.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience teaching A-Level Computer Science or similar qualifications.
• Sound knowledge of computer science concepts, programming languages, and software development methodologies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to adjust teaching strategies and resources as needed.
