Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a fixed-term Staff Nurse for the A&E department in Whitehaven. The nine-month post begins in March 2027 and focuses on hands-on patient care, accurate record keeping, safeguarding, and contributing to clinical governance and infection control.

A supernumerary period, departmental induction and a named preceptor accompany appointment. Applicants must hold active NMC registration.

Qualifications

• Provide hands-on patient care.
• Adhere to the NMC code of conduct and safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate care records and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide all aspects of patient care.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Safeguard adults and children and undertake training as required.
