Job summary

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant with an Aerospace & Defence manufacturing focus to transform production and supply chains using Industry 4.0 strategies and digital manufacturing capabilities. Qualifications

• Experience transforming manufacturing or supply chain operations in Aerospace & Defence, from industry or consulting.
• Leading operational improvement, process optimisation, digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives in manufacturing or supply chain.
• Passion for leading improvements with focus on employee engagement and empowerment.
• Interest in smart manufacturing tech including MES, Industrial IoT, AI, digital work instructions and connected worker solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to turn data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across manufacturing, engineering, quality and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Help A&D manufacturers address production ramp-up, supply chain resilience, quality excellence and operational performance challenges.
• Assess manufacturing value streams and identify opportunities to improve production flow, capacity utilisation and OEE.
• Lead Smart Factory and Digital Manufacturing transformation from strategy to implementation.
• Develop business cases, maturity assessments and transformation roadmaps aligned to client goals.
• Collaborate with leaders in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to define requirements and future operating models.
• Support deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies, including MES, Industrial IoT, AI, digital work instructions and connected worker solutions.
• Deliver impactful transformation programmes improving productivity, quality, delivery, and manufacturing agility across aerospace and defence.
• Work with operators to ensure changes are sustainable and deliver long-term benefits.
• Contribute to Capgemini’s offerings for Physical and Agentic AI at manufacturing clients.
