South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced Paramedics and Nurses to join the Integrated Contact Centre as 999 – Clinical Advisors. You will perform clinical telephone triage, provide evidence-based clinical advice, and direct onward referrals within the NHS to support timely, safe patient care.

This role operates within a fast-paced environment where clinical judgment directly impacts patient safety and the flow of urgent care services across the NHS.

Qualifications

• Provide high-quality clinical telephone triage using decision-support systems.
• Able to assess incoming symptom-based calls and determine urgency.
• Offer evidence-based clinical advice and NHS onward referrals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor 999 calls handled by Emergency Call Takers.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Communicate clinical information with healthcare partners to ensure seamless care.
• Contribute to meeting national ambulance standards and local performance targets.
• Participate in team meetings and monthly call audits.
