Job summary

Johnsons Workwear is seeking a Service Delivery Driver to manage daily routes, deliver stock between customer sites and the plant, and ensure compliance with transport regulations. You'll maintain records, provide excellent customer service, and support the transport team with ad-hoc duties.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and position stock at customer sites.
• Ensure vehicles carry necessary sundry items and paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver and collect stock between customer sites and the plant per route documentation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and act as liaison between customers and the business.
• Support Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers when needed.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Service Delivery Driver to deliver and collect company stock between customer sites and the plant. This role is key to ensuring compliance with transport legislation while delivering a reliable, high-quality service to our customers.

Please note - this role requires any applicant to hold a valid CPC and 7.5ton Licence.

The role

As a Service Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for managing daily delivery routes, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service at every interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles and placing stock into designated areas at customer sites
• Ensuring vehicles are stocked with sufficient sundry items, such as repair labels and bags
• Collecting and delivering items in line with route documentation, including loading and emptying on-premises lockers and exchanging dust control mats
• Accurately completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and acting as a key liaison between customers and the business
• Supporting the Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers when required
• Undertaking ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team
