Job summary

Gi Group are recruiting a Grounds Operative / 7.5t (C1) Driver to support the upkeep of local authority parks and open spaces in Nottingham. You will operate mowers and grounds machinery, drive crew vehicles, and lead teams across multiple sites with training provided.

The role requires a Category C1 licence and a safety-focused, flexible team player who can work up to 40 hours weekly. Competitive hourly pay is offered with holiday pay included.

• Category C1 driving licence (held for 1+ years)
• Reliable, safety-focused, and a good team player.

Grounds Operative / 7.5t (C1) Driver

We're hiring Grounds Operatives to support the upkeep of a local authority's parks and open spaces.

What You'll Do:

• Operate mowers, plant, and grounds machinery (training provided)
• Drive crew vehicles and lead teams at multiple locations
• Follow clear instructions from management and maintain public parks and recreation grounds
• Ensure safe working by using all provided personal protective equipment
• Comply with health and safety guidance at all times

Shifts & Pay:

• Up to 40 hours per week
• Typical shifts: 7:30am-4:00pm Mon-Thu, 7:30am-3:00pm Fri or 6:00am-2:30pm Mon-Wed, 6:00am-2:00pm Thu-Fri
• No work on Bank Holidays
• £16.04 per hour

Rates advertised are including advanced holiday pay. PAYE without advanced holiday pay is also available

• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different sites across the borough
