Job summary

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers for client sites within UB postcodes (Uxbridge, Southall, Hayes, West Drayton). All roles are temporary adhoc with shifts not guaranteed.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries, check vehicle, log mileage and fuel, interact with customers to confirm delivery details, and comply with traffic and safety regulations. PAYE rates £16.00–£19.00 per hour, paid holidays included; start within 1 week.

Qualifications

• Valid UK CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points.
• A manual driving licence is required.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers for our clients based within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge/Southall/ Hayes/West Drayton etc)

PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

PAYE £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (including holiday pay)

Type of shifts (depending on company):

• Multi drop deliveries in and around M25
• Delivering catering equipment, printers, electrical supplies, piping, flooring etc
• Deliver and collect tool / plant hire and construction equipment
• Shifts are mainly during the week, day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
• Start times can vary between 5:30 and 8am
• Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid UK CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN)
• A manual driving licence
• At least 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver / LGV / HGV (references required)
• Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C1) in the past 12 months
• You must be over the age of 25 years (insurance purposes)
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards

Rates of pay:

• We pay for a minimum of 10 hours a day (breaks are not paid)
• PAYE £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (including holiday pay)
