Job summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting a 7.5T Delivery Driver for the Dartford area. You will deliver on schedule, assist with loading and unloading, and work with the crew to ensure efficiency and safety.

The role requires a 06:00 start, 5 days out of 7 with a rota, and a valid 7.5T/C1 licence, Tachograph, and Driver CPC. Pay starts at £14.05 per hour and increases to £19.23 after 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5T vehicle.

• Work as part of a delivery crew and support with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Carry and move heavy items where required, depending on customer locations.
• Complete vehicle and delivery checks as required.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
• Follow all relevant health and safety, driving and company procedures.
• Complete any additional duties required as part of the role.

Pay: £14.05 per hour
Pay after 12 weeks: £19.23 per hour
Hours: 06:00 starts – flexibility required
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 – rota provided

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T Delivery Driver to join our client’s team in Dartford.

This is a hands-on driving role where you will be responsible for making timely and accurate deliveries while also supporting the crew with loading, unloading and manual handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5T vehicle.
• Complete scheduled deliveries on time and to a high standard.
• Unload customer orders carefully, ensuring products remain in good condition.
• Work as part of a delivery crew and support with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Carry and move heavy items where required, depending on customer locations.
• Complete vehicle and delivery checks as required.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
• Follow all relevant health and safety, driving and company procedures.
• Complete any additional duties required as part of the role.

Requirements

• Valid 7.5T / C1 Driving Licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible when required.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.

Working Hours

• 06:00 start
• 5 days out of 7, including weekends as required
• Rota provided in advance
• Candidates must be flexible with working hours depending on operational requirements.

Pay

• £14.05 per hour
• £19.23 per hour after 12 weeks
