Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) in Chelmsford is seeking a 7.5t driver for night shifts on temporary ongoing basis. You will operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations, with occasional day shifts.

The role requires a UK C1 licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, no more than 6 penalty points, and at least 1 year of 7.5t experience in logistics. Competitive hourly pay and full PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C1 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year previous 7.5t driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Multiple drops per shift, depending on route assigned.
