Job summary

Salvo is seeking a reliable 7.5T Delivery Driver for their Cheshunt operation. You will deliver goods safely, check vehicles, and provide excellent customer service, serving as the face of the brand on the road.

40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with a 6am start and occasional Saturday shifts, in a role with growth opportunities. You will hold a full, clean 7.5T licence and CPC, be comfortable navigating busy London roads, and able to handle heavy loads while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence for 7.5T vehicle.
• Valid CPC qualification.
• Experience driving in London and urban routes.
• Ability to handle heavy loads safely.
• Excellent customer service and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle, equipment, and safety checks before and after shifts.
• Drive responsibly, following road safety regulations and delivery schedules.
• Load, secure, and unload goods including chilled and frozen items.
• Use handheld devices to record deliveries and capture proof of delivery.
• Provide friendly and professional service to customers and resolve queries.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues promptly.
• W ear PPE and represent the company brand professionally.

Job title: Delivery Driver (7.5T)
Position: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000
Location: Cheshunt
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 6am start. Occasional Saturday work required on a rotational basis.

The role

We're looking for a reliable and professional7.5T Delivery Driver to join our team in Cheshunt. You'll play a vital role in delivering goods safely, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service. From carrying out vehicle checks to ensuring accurate, timely deliveries, you'll be the face of our brand on the road.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carrying out daily vehicle, equipment, and safety checks before and after shifts.
• Driving responsibly, following road safety regulations and company delivery schedules.
• Loading, securing, and unloading goods with care, including chilled and frozen products.
• Using handheld devices to record deliveries and capture proof of delivery.
• Providing friendly and professional service to customers, resolving delivery queries where needed.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any issues promptly.
• Wearing PPE and representing the company brand with professionalism at all times.

Person Specification

• Full, clean driving licence appropriate to 7.5T vehicles.
• Valid CPC.
• Confident navigating London roads and traffic conditions
• Able to handle heavy loads safely.
• Positive, can-do attitude with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong team player with excellent customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
