Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking experienced 7.5T Category C1 Drivers for straightforward trunking and collection work based in Birmingham. The role involves A-to-B trunking with occasional reload/collection, limited multidrop, and shifts averaging a few hours.

Start times vary with afternoon, evening and night work available; Birmingham-based position with valid UK Category C1 entitlement, Driver CPC, and tachograph card required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 entitlement
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous 7.5T commercial driving experience
• Good understanding of drivers hours and tachograph regulations
• Ability to complete shifts averaging hours
• Availability for afternoon, evening or night work
• Reliable and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled A-to-B trunking runs
• Collecting or reloading goods before returning to base
• Following planned routes and transport schedules
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring loads are secure before travelling
• Completing transport and collection paperwork
• Communicating with the transport office regarding delays or issues
• Reporting vehicle defects promptly
• Complying with drivers hours and Working Time regulations
• Maintaining a safe and professional standard of driving
