Job summary

The Recruitment Group is currently recruiting experienced 7.5T Drivers for straightforward trunking and collection work based in Birmingham. The role involves mainly A-to-B trunking with a reload or collection before returning to base, with average shifts of 10–12 hours.

Ideal candidates will have a UK Category C1 entitlement, a Digital Tachograph Card, and prior 7.5T driving experience. Shifts run in the afternoon, evening or night, with a day rate of £15 per hour and a night rate of £16 per

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 entitlement.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous 7.5T commercial driving experience.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collecting or reloading goods before returning to base.
• Following planned routes and transport schedules.
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Ensuring loads are secure before travelling.
• Completing all required transport and collection paperwork.
• Communicating with the transport office regarding delays or issues.
• Reporting vehicle defects promptly.
• Complying with drivers' hours and Working Time regulations.
• Maintaining a safe and professional standard of driving.
