Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a 7.5 Tonne Driver for ad hoc shifts in Bicester, supporting a leading food distribution operation. The role offers early starts, steady activity, and the chance to work flexibly as shifts become available, with a minimum 8-hour shift and a competitive hourly rate.

You will join a delivery team focused on keeping customers stocked with fresh food and hospitality supplies, delivering multi-drop orders with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Full UK Cat C1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid CPC card.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne van.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• Reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
• Willingness to work on an ad hoc basis as shifts arrive.

Responsibilities

• Loading the van and securing deliveries safely.
• Completing multi‑drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers.
• Providing a professional and friendly service at every delivery.
• Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy.
• Handling and lifting products up to 25kg.

Start Times: Approx 4am

Pertemps are recruiting 7.5 Tonne Van Drivers to work on an ad hoc basis, supporting a leading food distribution company based in Bicester. If you are looking to enjoy the flexibility of ad hoc shifts, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and friendly operation.

Pay Rate

• £14.50 per hour
• Minimum 8-hour shift guarantee

The role

As part of the delivery team, you will play an important role in keeping customers stocked with fresh food and hospitality supplies. Your duties will include:

• Loading your van and ensuring deliveries are safely secured.
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers.
• Providing a professional and friendly service at every delivery.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Handling and lifting products weighing up to 25kg.

Requirements for the role

• A full UK cat C1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• A valid CPC card
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne van with confidence.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and excellent customer service.
• A willingness to work on an ad hoc basis as shifts become available.
