Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver in Crick, Northamptonshire. The role offers regular ongoing work and good rates of pay with potential progression from temp to permanent opportunities.

Shifts are 5–6 days a week, typically 06:00 starts, with home delivery duties and multi-drop routes, requiring a valid C1 licence and DQC/Tachograph. Weekly pay, site parking and health & wellbeing support are included.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 licence (held for a minimum of 12 months).
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Two-person 7.5 Tonne home delivery runs.
• Complete 15–20 drops per day depending on area and distance.
• Unloading goods with handball; assist with heavy lifting when required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

This particular role would suit applicants looking for a role as a Truck Driver, Category C1 Driver, 7.5 Tonne or HGV Driver

Shifts:

• Working 5-6 shifts between Monday - Saturday
• 06:00 starts

Rates of Pay:

£15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Two-person 7.5 Tonne home delivery work
• Completing 15-20 drops per day depending on area and distance
• Unloading goods with handball involved
• Heavy lifting due to the nature of the role

Essential Skills

As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C1 licence (held for a minimum of 12 months)
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Reasonably physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
• Previous home delivery experience

Desirable Experience

• Previous 7.5 Tonne multi-drop experience

Training:

• Client assessment completed on first shift
• Industry-related training and ongoing support
