Job summary

Rapier Employment are seeking 7.5 Tonne Drivers for ongoing work with a leading logistics client based in Ipswich. You will join a two-person delivery crew to perform multi-drop deliveries of heavy goods and household appliances with full training and support available.

Start dates are immediate, with overtime opportunities and the potential for permanent placement. A valid UK licence, CPC card, tachograph card and a DBS check are required, along with a flexible weekend work pattern.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling.
• DBS check may be required.
• Experience in multi-drop/home delivery is advantageous.
• Delivering large or bulky goods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries to customers' homes.
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances.
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as part of a two-person team.
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently.
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork.
• Providing professional and friendly customer service at each delivery.
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures.

The Role

Shift Pattern

• Sunday to Thursday
• Tuesday to Saturday

Start times are from 06:00.

Overtime may also be available.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this 7.5 Tonne Driver position, you will need:

• A valid UK Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months driving experience
• A flexible approach to weekend working
• Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting
• A reliable, professional and punctual attitude
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
• Experience That Would Be Beneficial
• Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
• Multi-drop delivery
• Home delivery
• 7.5 Tonne
• Delivering large or bulky goods
• Furniture or household appliance delivery
• Customer-facing delivery roles

Training & Support

You will receive industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment , helping you settle into the role and understand the delivery operation.
