Job summary

Steer Staffing Ltd is recruiting a 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver for a Leeds-based distribution and delivery company. You will deliver orders to homes and office sites with a Driver Mate assisting, following pre-planned routes and loading your vehicle each morning.

Shifts are five days on, three days off on a rotating schedule, with two 30-minute breaks, between 7:00am and 6:15pm. A DBS check is required. Salary £14.28 per hour (£33,415.20 per year), with overtime paid time and a half after 45 hours.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to handle heavy goods and lift items.
• DBS check required and clean.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle on multi-drop routes.
• Ensure correct products delivered to homes/offices on time.
• Follow delivery routes and pre-call customers before arrival.
• Complete required paperwork and remove packaging from deliveries.

teer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Leeds.

You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Following a delivery route
• Pre calling customers before arrival
• Filling in paperwork as and when required
• Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

• Experience within a similar role
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am - 6.15pm.

The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £14.28 per hour, £33,415.20 pe year, any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half
