Job summary

Steer Staffing Ltd is seeking a 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver to join a distribution and delivery operation in Basingstoke. You will deliver customer orders to houses and offices, often with a driver’s mate, following pre-planned routes and loading the vehicle each morning.

The role requires CPC & TACO, a full UK driving licence with minimal points, and a DBS check. The shift pattern is 5 days on, 3 days off on a rotating schedule, with 7:00am–6:15pm hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customers' houses and offices, often with a driver’s mate.
• Plan routes and ensure timely deliveries, loading vehicle each morning.
• Pre-call customers before arrival and complete required paperwork.
• Remove packaging from deliveries and maintain accurate logs.

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Basingstoke

CPC & TACO REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB

You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Following a delivery route
• Pre calling customers before arrival
• Filling in paperwork as and when required
• Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

• Experience within a similar role
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am - 6.15pm.

The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £14.50 per hour, any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half
