Job summary

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for a 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. You will be delivering customers orders to houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar delivery role is required.
• CPC and TACO certifications are required.
• A 7.5 tonne licence or higher is required.
• Ability to handle heavy goods is essential.
• A clean DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to houses and office sites.
• Work with a Driver's Mate to support deliveries.
• Follow a delivery route and pre-load the vehicle each morning.
• Pre-call customers before arrival and complete paperwork as needed.
• Remove all packaging from each delivery.

Job description

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury.

You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Following a delivery route
• Pre calling customers before arrival
• Filling in paperwork as and when required
• Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

• Experience within a similar role
• CPC and TACO
• 7.5 ton licence or above
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 6,30am - 6.00pm.

The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £14.28 per hour, any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half
