Job summary

Steer Staffing Ltd in Bolton is recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a busy distribution and delivery company. You will deliver customer orders to houses and office sites, with a Driver's Mate to support you.

Shifts are five days on, three days off on a rotating schedule, with hours from 6:30am to 6:00pm. A DBS check is required. CPC and Tacho, a 7.5 ton licence, and ability to lift heavy items are essential; pay is £14.28 per hour with overtime at time and a half after 45 hours.

• Experience in a similar driving role is required.
• A clear DBS check is required.
• Ability to lift heavy items and manage multi-drop deliveries.

Job description

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Bolton.

You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

Duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Following a delivery route

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

• Experience within a similar role
• CPC and TACO
• 7.5 ton licence or above
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 6,30am - 6.00pm.

The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £14.28 per hour, any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
