Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester is seeking a reliable Recovery Truck Driver to join our team. You will drive twin deck 7.5T vehicles to collect end-of-life vehicles and bring them to our depots, primarily around the Essex area.

The role requires commercial driving experience with recovery vehicles, solid safety awareness, and the ability to work independently. Pay ranges from £40,000 to £42,000 per year, depending on experience, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence covering 7.5 ton, Class 2 or Class 1.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with recovery vehicles.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate recovery lorries safely to transport Vehicles to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload end of life vehicles, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the transportation process.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Recovery Truck Driver to join our team, to drive our twin deck 7.5T vehicles. The work entails collection of end of life vehicles to be brought to one of our depots.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with recovery trucks.

As a Recovery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting end of life vehicles from various locations, within the local Essex area, back to one of our deports.

Duties

• Operate recovery lorries safely and efficiently to transport Vehicles to designated locations.
