Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated 6th Form Academic Mentor in North London for a 1-year contract, with the aim of gaining secondary school experience ahead of teacher training in September 2027. The role focuses on inspiring pupils, raising attainment, improving study techniques and exam preparation, while supporting students 1:1 and in small groups within a lively learning environment.

Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree and be passionate about working with young people.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Interest in pursuing teacher training in Sep 2027.
• Experience mentoring or tutoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Select students for mentoring and discuss aims with pupils.
• Support pupils inside and outside of the classroom.
• Write action plans and monitor progress.
• Liaise with staff and external professionals where appropriate.
• Help raise attainment and self-esteem through tailored strategies.
