Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment seeks a senior leader to steer the Council’s property services, guiding valuation, acquisitions, disposals and asset management across non-operational property. You will lead a professional team, manage budgets and drive service improvements, reporting to stakeholders with clear metrics.

Essentially, you will oversee valuation activities, disposals, acquisitions and governance, while ensuring compliance with property legislation.

Qualifications

• RICS qualification or working towards membership is required.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Experience in property valuation, acquisitions, disposals and management.
• Experience leading professional/technical teams in a property context.
• Knowledge of property legislation is essential.

Work Pattern: Mon – Fri, 37 hour per week

PAYE Pay Rate: £29.18 per hour

Main Purpose

To lead the Council’s property services, providing advice and management across property valuation, acquisitions, disposals, asset management and non-operational property.

Typical Day

• Lead and manage a professional property team.
• Oversee valuations, acquisitions and disposals.
• Manage the Council’s non-operational property portfolio.
• Support the Council’s Asset Management Strategy.
• Provide property and real estate advice.
• Manage budgets, performance and projects.
• Prepare reports and attend meetings with stakeholders.
