Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Service Manager Transactions to oversee acquisitions, disposals and development opportunities within the council’s property portfolio. You will work with internal services and external stakeholders to ensure transactions are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in support of strategic objectives.

Job description

Service Manager Transactions

You will oversee the acquisition, disposal and development transactions associated with the Council’s property portfolio. Working closely with internal services and external stakeholders, you will ensure that transactions are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in support of the Council’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a programme of acquisitions, disposals and development negotiations.
• Leading complex property transactions and development opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to generate income and deliver value for money.
• Building strong relationships with partners, developers and investors.

About You

We are looking for experienced and forward-thinking leaders who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience in a property, estates or asset management environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• A proven track record of delivering successful property outcomes and service improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness combined with a strong public service ethos.
• The ability to manage competing priorities within a complex organisation.

Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/FRICS) or an equivalent professional body is essential.
