Job summary

Envisage Recruitment Limited is partnering with a Birmingham-based manufacturer to recruit a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machine Setter/Operator. You will set up and operate 5-axis centres to deliver high-quality parts.

Working with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, you will read drawings, prove programs, adjust tooling, and perform first-off inspections to ensure accuracy and productivity. Twilight shift with development opportunities in a specialist environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC centres.
• 5-axis machining experience.
• Reading engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Setting tools, work offsets and fixtures.
• First-off inspections and in-process quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Work with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
• Load, prove and run CNC programs following procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Set workpieces, fixtures, tooling and offsets accurately.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Maintain production records and support continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times and tooling performance.
