Futura Design in Birmingham is seeking a CNC Setter Operator to join our manufacturing team on a 30-hour part-time week, with shifts Mon–Thu 16:00–22:00 and Fri 10:00–16:00.

The role covers programming, setting and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC milling machinery, converting slabs into finished form product, and ensuring quality and safety. You will follow procedures, troubleshoot issues, and document processes as part of the production team.

Competenze

• 3+ years of online CNC programming, setting and operating.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.

Mansioni

• Programme, set and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC machinery to produce and finish syntactic materials.
• Adhere to Production Schedules and SOPs to meet quality specs and timelines.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
• Correct any errors in job programmes or settings promptly to minimise waste.
• Carry out quality assurance checks and report imperfections.
• Maintain records in line with audit requirements and procedures.
• Ensure the department stays at the cutting edge of CNC machining capability.
