Job summary

McGlynn Personnel is recruiting a CNC Miller Programmer for a precision engineering business in West Surrey (Guildford / Woking area). You will program 3 axis, 3+2 and 5 axis parts, using Fusion 360 CAM, with emphasis on speed and efficiency rather than just correctness.

You'll run the programs on the machines if you want tool time, contribute to design modifications for easier manufacture, and help plan automation timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven 5 axis milling experience in a precision environment.
• Experience with CAM software (Fusion 360) is essential or preferred.
• Solid grounding in G-code and Fanuc controllers.
• Aluminium, titanium and stainless experience.
• Turning experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Programming 3 axis, 3+2 and 5 axis parts, with efficient programs.
• Run the programs you have created if you want time on the tools.
• Input into design changes for easier and faster manufacture.
• Input into automation schedules and manufacturing to suit automation timelines.
• Scope to bring better programming workflows and CAM changes as needed.
