Job summary

Kingston Barnes Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Miller for a Bristol-area manufacturing client. The role involves setting and operating 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, reading drawings, and ensuring tolerances and quality.

You will use Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls and contribute to continuous improvement within a safety-focused team. Hours are 37 per week across day/late shifts with shift premiums; benefits include 25 days leave, health plan, death in service, pension, and

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, plug gauges).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines with Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls.
• Set tools, offsets, fixtures and workpieces; use probes and manual methods.
• Produce complex components to drawing tolerances and customer requirements.
• Read drawings and production documents; monitor processes and adjust tooling.
• Maintain quality using inspection equipment and ensure timely production.
• Support continuous improvement and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and engineers; keep records accurate.
