Job summary

Tektora are seeking DV cleared 4th Line Cloud Support Engineers for a contract role on customer premises in Hampshire/Basingstoke. The role focuses on complex cloud escalations, VMware administration, and driving automation and resilience across multi-tenant environments.

Ideal candidates will have UK Sole National DV clearance, experience with Broadcom/VMware suites, ITIL/ITSM processes, and scripting capabilities (PowerShell or Python) to streamline tasks and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Tektora are supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider who are looking to speak with DV Cleared 4th Line Cloud Support Engineers for a contract opportunity supporting a high profile user community alongside an established team of 2nd and 3rd Line engineers.

This role would suit someone with extensive cloud administration experience across VMware and Broadcom technologies who is comfortable handling complex escalations and is looking to develop further across automation, resilience design and technical leadership.

The Role

You will be involved in:

• Responding to complex escalations from 3rd Line engineers
• Assisting in Problem Management investigation and root cause analysis
• Extensive work with VMware products and associated monitoring
• Creating opportunities to automate manual tasks to drive efficiency and reduce downtime
• Identifying single points of failure and designing resilience into the service
• Managing obsolescence across applications and operating systems
• Collaborative working with the Management Team
• Daily contact with customers and stakeholders through the IT Service Management toolset
• Managing high profile senior escalations and requests

Key Experience Required

• UK Sole National with active DV Clearance
• Extensive cloud administration experience using tools such as Broadcom SDDC Manager, vCenter and ESXi
• Event management tooling such as SCOM or SolarWinds
• Cloud capacity management, for example Aria Operations
• Strong understanding of Active Directory Domain Services, Windows Server 2019 or newer, and DNS
• Experience of virtual networking in a cloud-based environment
• Experience working in a multi-tenant environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take on technical leadership activities
• ITSM tooling and processes
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Scripting for automation, for example PowerShell or Python
• Previous delivery within a secure or Defence environment
