Job summary

Nextech Group is seeking a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer for a UK-based MSP role in Oxfordshire. The hybrid position blends remote work with customer-site visits, delivering complex escalations and infrastructure upgrades across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, AD, and cloud services.

You'll own issues end-to-end, support networks and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and mentor junior engineers while delivering projects and ensuring service excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong 3rd line / infrastructure support experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with Azure / Entra ID.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
• Good customer-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit customer sites.

3rd Line IT Support Engineer - MSP

Location: Oxfordshire / Hybrid
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + Annual Profit Share
Working Pattern: Hybrid, with a mix of home working and customer site visits

The Role

We're recruiting on behalf of an established Managed Service Provider in Oxfordshire looking for an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll deal with complex technical escalations, support customer infrastructure and get involved in projects and upgrades.

You'll split your time between working from home and visiting customer sites, so you'll need to be comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers.
